Love is such a wonderful, beautiful, powerful thing. When we love eachother, we show eachother a little glimpse of something bigger and better. Some people -like myself- believe that this is a glimpse of heaven, but whatever you believe it is, I'm sure you can appreciate that it's beautiful.
It's so important that we tell people we love them while we still have the chance. You never know what will happen in the next minute... hour, or day. Anything could happen, and I'm sure you'd rather let these things happen, knowing that your loved ones knew you cherished them.
When was the last time you hugged your best friend and let her know how much she means to you? Birthdays aren't the only days we're supposed to appreciate our friends. You know, the people who have always been by your side? Surely they deserve more than a present and a cute card once a bloody year. That's one day out of the three hundred and sixty five that they're here for you.
When was the last time you held your Mum's hand and thanked her for everything she's done for you? Mothers day isn't the only day you should recognise how much your Mum loves and looks after you... and the same goes for your Dad. They've taught you so much, and loved you unconditionally- even when you were a total brat and threw it back in their face.
And what about that boy? Have you ever told him how you truly feel, and how he makes your heart beat faster? Have you ever confessed how his smile makes you feel feelings you didn't even know existed?
The bottom line is, we don't show or speak enough love... and we really should.
And sure, maybe you'll say some things in love that you'll look back on and regret. But wouldn't you much rather regret things said in love than things send in hate? And at the end of the day, it's so much better to regret what has happened, than to wonder what would.
One of my favourite quotes writes this much more eloquently than I ever could; "If I've ever learnt anything, it's this; your biggest regrets won't be what you did say, but everything you didn't"
So don't ever let your love for someone go unspoken. If you have love for someone, don't you dare say goodbye without them being certain that you love them. Live life with so much love that you couldn't imagine living any other way.
